[How to article] Takedown Phishing Domains/URLs on Sav.com

How to do a takedown on a malicious domain that is registered through Sav.

Step 1:
Visit (Report Domain Abuse) in your web browser.


Step 2:

Once on the page, find the dropdown menu labeled “Phishing.” Click on the dropdown and choose “Phishing” from the options. Locate a green button, typically labeled “Continue” or “Continue to Report,” and click on it to proceed.


Step 3:

On the new page, find a field prompting you to enter your email address. Provide your valid email address. After entering your email, find and click on a button labeled “Continue” to move forward.


Step 4:

Locate the designated field for the “Offending URL” and enter the URL of the malicious or offending website.


Step 5:
Look for a date picker or calendar icon. Select the date when you encountered or became aware of the abuse.

Step 6:
Find a text box or area where you can describe the abuse. Provide a detailed description of the phishing incident.

Step 7:

Next, look for a field to input the brand or company being imitated. Enter this information if relevant to the phishing incident.


Step 8:

If relevant, find a section to add email message headers. Include this information if it contributes to the report. Similarly, if needed, locate a section to add the email message body. Include this information if it helps explain the situation.


Step 9:

Next, find an option to upload or attach a file. Add a screenshot of the malicious website to support your report.

Step 10:

Look for a button, typically labeled “Submit” or similar. Click on it to submit your report. Remember to review your entries for accuracy before submitting them. If there are any issues, the website should provide feedback on what needs attention.
