[How to article] Takedown Phishing Domains/URLs on GoDaddy

How to do a takedown on a malicious domain which is registered through GoDaddy.

Step 1: To begin, navigate to Report Abuse to open an abuse case support ticket.

Step 2: When guided to their support center, select Phishing.

Step 3: Fill in your email address and provide the malicious domain name and associated URLs. Please note that you can only report one domain at a time, so if you have multiple malicious domains you will need to create separate reports.

Step 4: If you know the company that is being impersonated select yes.

Step 5 : If a proxy is not required, leave it checked β€œno ” and select β€œnext. ” If a proxy is required to view the malicious content, please select β€œyes ” and use the drop down to select the country-specific proxy that is required and select β€œnext .”

Step 6 : Provide an extremely detailed description of the abuse taking place, then select β€œnext. ”

Step 7 : Confirm that you are submitting the report in good faith and that you are a human by checking the boxes.

Step 8: Select β€œSubmit”

*Please note that GoDaddy receives a high volume of requests, so upon submission you will not receive an email confirmation, nor will they send an email once they have reviewed your case.

*Please also note that due to the volume of submissions, takedown times for GoDaddy have fluctuated between 6-12 weeks.
